Yesterday I started watching this Anime “Junjou Romantica” which I found it accidentally when I was browsing through the list of series they had.
Yesterday I started watching this Anime “Junjou Romantica” which I found it accidentally when I was browsing through the list of series they had.
I was looking at the genre of this Anime and something caught my attention. “Shounen Ai, what the hell is that?” So out of my curiosity, I went to search the meaning of it. It literally means boys love; as in homosexual relationship.
My eyes were widened at that point of time as it interests me! I mean I have been watching Anime all the while, but I have not watched any of the related genre series.
So, I watched it, it’s really interesting for me. Not the sexual part, but its emotion part. Seriously, I got nothing against or biased or sexist against homo love.
In fact, I feel that they are very cool in this Anime! They are very straight forward with their emotions, they don’t really mind or care that the opposite party is guy. Love is love, and there’s nothing wrong for falling in love with a guy. And they love with all their hearts.
The lead couple relationship is very clear. So I won’t mention it. But whereas another couple, namely Miyagi and Shinobu, they have an interesting storyline.
Miyagi is the ex brother in law of Shinobu since Miyagi had divorced with his sister. After knowing their divorce, Shinobu rushed back from overseas to confess to Miyagi. They had an age gap of 17 years old.
Shinobu said: “I love you, I really love you!”
Miyagi said: “huh? What’s wrong with you?”
Shinobu said: “It must be destiny! Fate brought us together.”
Miyagi feeling very weird from the arguing, so he said: “okie, so what do you want me to do?”
Shinobu said: “Be responsible. I want you to be responsible for my feelings.”
COOL! Thumbs up for what Shinobu says; “BE RESPONSIBLE” even though he does not have the right to say that as Miyagi doesn’t really know much of Shinobu’s existence.
This Anime has something common to reality, which some hunks are homo. I dunno if I should say it a pity for girls or simply unfair as two good looking guys are together. Haiz …
This Anime has two series: Junjou Romantica and Junjou Romantica 2. I would recommend this series as you can get sweetness out of it like any other romantic shows.
